True, one dish doesn't exactly make a menu, but it does make my share of a potluck meal for a friend's birthday. Actually, unless they have some kind of theme, potlucks are pretty much the anti-menu, with everyone bringing whatever they want (or the one thing they know how to make, or the thing they've been dying to make, or whatever is in the pantry or easy to pick up at the grocery store on the way to the party. Or a bottle of wine). But despite this, I do love a good potluck and find that they are great sources of menu inspiration. Therefore, I shall leave you with a glimpse of my bread pudding and then you're free to imagine the rest of the menu however you like it.
